The new "lapsed" feature automates this process by temporarily removing or deactivating members who fail to pay their dues in a timely fashion. "Lapsed" members are technically removed from the group, but their information is stored and they can easily be re-added if you receive payment. Our default settings allow members a grace period of up to 7 days to pay their membership fees past due, at which point they are switched to "lapsed". You can customize if/when "lapsed" status is implemented in your membership level settings. Some groups may choose to implement "lapsed" status as early as 1 day late, other groups may choose to disable the lapse settings altogether. You can manually un-lapse a member as an administrator (if you had a verbal agreement that they would not owe for this period), or you can re-invite the member to re-opt in to the group independently, at which time they would be invited to purchase a renewed membership. Whether you are charging a joining fee, annual membership dues or any other type of charge, one of the biggest concerns group leaders have is "Did they receive the invoice?"
We now give you an easy way to send and track emails containing Quickpay invoices. Using the "send an email" or "send a reminder email" options on the quickpay charge admin page will generate a custom email invoice that can be sent to some or all of the members who still owe for the charge. This email will automatically appear in your email campaign tracking, allowing you to monitor who has received, opened, and clicked your email invoice. It will also show which members did not receive the invoice due to invalid or bounced email addresses. You can send/resend invoice reminders at any time. Curious about who has paid? Within a few days the whole team knew all about their unbelievably sweet, thoughtful and simple mission of providing clean socks to local homeless population in Austin TX. Started by a husband & wife team this March in Austin, Freshies has a goal of providing 200,000 pairs of fresh socks per year. With the fundraising we have done through MemberPlanet (since March of this year), we have been able to distribute over 2,000 pairs of socks, allowed us to involve over 150 volunteers into our packaging and distribution effort, and impact the lives of at least 200 members of our homeless community here in Austin.
