What has MemberPlanet done to protect our customers?
Most importantly, we want to make sure that you know that your MemberPlanet was not vulnerable to Heartbleed, and none of our sites are currently vulnerable to the Heartbleed attack. As soon as MemberPlanet was made aware of Heartbleed, we immediately reviewed our website, our products, and engaged with our vendors to address any potential issue that could leave us vulnerable to this type of attack. We are continuing to monitor this issue to stay ahead of any potential impacts. Though we are not requiring you to reset your password, you may elect to do so. We’re committed to keeping our products and services safe for all our customers to use.
What should I do if other websites I use were impacted?
We recommend logging out of all websites that require a password to log in (financial, social media, email, etc). To do this securely, delete all cookies that your computer has stored across all websites. If a website was at risk, make sure they have performed the required security updates before logging back in. Change your password to these sites immediately.
If you re-use your MemberPlanet password on other websites, you should reset your MemberPlanet password immediately.
